3D conformal radiation is an advanced external radiation technique that uses CT scanning technology to map out and reconstruct the tumor in three dimensions and shape the multiple radiation beams exactly to the contours of the treatment area.

TNM is a system of measurement of the tumor (T), cancerous lymph nodes (N), and metastases (M). Each of these categories is given a value, which are all combined to determine the stage of the cancer.

Tomotherapy is an advanced form of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) combined with CT scanning capability. This technology enables doctors to map the exact contours of a tumor in three dimensions and deliver radiation in thousands of beamlets from all angles, allowing for a high dosage with minimal side effects to healthy tissue.

Total metastases irradiation (TMetI) is the use of tomotherapy to treat multiple metastases at once, while limiting damage to healthy tissue. It's most effective when used in combination with chemotherapy.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the ancient and comprehensive system of medicine developed in China and focused on the flow and balance of energy, called Qi, translated as “life force.” Practitioners of TCM use acupuncture, strong herbal teas, massage, and other therapies to bring the internal organs into balance.

Tumor markers, sometimes called biomarkers, are substances in the blood produced in reaction to certain kinds of cancer, which can be measured to diagnose and evaluate the progress of treatment.
