I need help. Does anyone know what to do once diagnosed from a biopsy with VIN II. My doctor said she will call me back to refer me to an oncology gyn. for an appt.  She didn't exactly say when all she said was she would get in contact with this doctor and call me back..  I'm very desperate and scared. I don't know what to do. I cant sit here and wait for her to call me back. Do you think its best for me to find a doctor on my own?  Anyone have ideas on what to do? I live in N.Y.. any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, It never hurts to have a second opinion on a pathology...hopefully by now your doc has referred you, but even so you may want to explore oncology gynecologists in your area, see if you can find some reviews.

I have had two surgeries for VIN II and VIN III.  The oncologist removed the inner labia and some other tissue parts.  It was quite painful.  This all started in December 2015.  Surgery in February 2016 and May 2017.

I would call the original doctor back and find out who the oncologist is that they were referring you to.  Then call that doctor.  Sometimes things just get lost.

I'm just letting you know that while it was frightening, I have tried to move on and not dwell on the negative.
