Stage 4 NSCLC Adenocarcinoma

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some feedback from others who have gone through this process before. My father was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell adenocarcinoma on 10/10/2016. He was is horrible pain in his back, hip and leg when it was discovered that a tumor had fractured his L2. Upon further investigation, they found the main tumor in his left lung. He was released from the hospital on 10/23/2016 after 5 rounds of radiation and a kyphoplasty to repair the fracture. He had his pet scan 10/31 and follow up with oncologist on 11/8. As of today  we still have not been given a treatment plan. We are still waiting for his molecular study but for whatever reason the lab keeps having issues. I'm beyond frustrated and my poor fathers condition continues to worsen. He only weighs 91lbs  (5ft 11inch male) and his pain (with pain meds) prevents him from doing pretty much everything other than lying in bed. Has anyone else had to wait months for a treatment plan? What are the chances of a frail man tolerating treatment? Any and all advice appreciated.
