What are the most common symptoms of prostatitis?  I would assume it would usually present with pain of some kind, right? So you would most definitely have painful urination/weak flow/some pain in that area in general?

Yes, prostatitis often causes painful or difficult urination. Other symptoms include pain in the groin, pelvic area or genitals. The signs and symptoms of prostatitis depend on the cause. They can include:

·         Pain or burning sensation when urinating

·         Frequent urination, particularly at night

·         Difficulty when urinating, such as dribbling or hesitant urination

·         Pain in the abdomen, groin or lower back and in the area between scrotum and rectum

·         Pain or discomfort in the penis or testicles

·         Painful ejaculation

·         Urgent need to urinate

·         Blood in the urine

·         Cloudy urine
