Diagnosis of poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma with no point of origin

My 46 year old niece was just diagnosed with this cancer.  She had a lump on her neck and was having trouble breathing.  Thought it was asthma related but wasn't getting better.  Surgical biopsy showed poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma with no point of origin.  Her breathing has gotten worse, coughing like crazy and can't eat much.  They have ruled out throat cancer but say she has a mass on her chest wall too.  Started radiation last week and chemo (4 hrs).  Doctor is hoping to shrink it enough to help her breath and than attack it aggresively with chemo.  Anyone else have any info with this type of cancer?
