I have stage 3 Non Small Cell Lung Cancer.  1st time was in my lung 5 years ago removed 1/2 lung and no treatment.  Back now in a lymph node in the middle of my chest.  I have done 36 treatments of radiation and 7 weeks of Chemo with Taxol and Carboplaxin.  My ocologist will do a CT scan 4 weeks after and then at 6 weeks after last Chemo, plans to do, 2 Heavy rounds of Chemo 3 to 4 weeks apart of the same drugs, but like 200mg and 400mg of them.  He advises agianst the immunotherapy because I have the ALK gene mutation in the cancer.  Has anyone had suceess that has the ALK?

How hard is the Immunotherapy on your body?  He said it would be a full year.
