Issels Treatment

Hi all.

I was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the left lung in August of 2001. I had 18 infusions of carboplatin, 15 brain radiation cessions, 20 (or so) chest radiation cessions and more suffering from all that than most people could understand.

Approximately 18 months later,  feeling weak and ill, I was informed that my latest scan showed a recurrentlesion. This time, my right lung.

Now, I checked out cancer.gov at the time and the only treatment for recurrent small cell was "CHEMO to reduce pain". A chilling thought. I immediately checked out several alternatives. Luckily, I discovered the Issel's Clinic.

I spent 4 weeks in the Issels Clinic in Mexico. It is located in a beach community outside Tijuana.

Almost immediately I felt much improved just from the diet and vitamins. Then the treatments started, detox, Laetril, C, Coley's Toxin, Dendritic cell treatments, Issel's vaccine.

My follow up scan in the clinic showed my small recurrent tumor was gone. I continued the treatment to completion.

I have been in complete remission from recurrent small cell since March of 2003. My oncologist here keeps doing scans looking for that tumor. He is sure it must still be there. It isn't.

BRAVO! Such wonderful news and I thank you for posting it here. I am not familiar with the Issel's Clinic personally but I will surely be doing some research on it. I do know from personal experience that there are many regressions and yes, even "cures" taking place at complementary and alternative clinics of various types of cancers.. I just hope and pray that more people become willing to "step outside the box" and put their faith in the natural substances that are freely available to help them in spite of the negative messages promoted by the "establishment." Continued good health Shemay

Hi,

Thanks for your story.  My husband is battling one mets to his liver.  If we are unsuccessful which we will know next week, we are headed off to a clinic.  I have heard of Issels.  I have also heard they are one of the best.  You stated you have been in remission for a while.  Have you changed your eating habit?

Hi.

Diet is just one of the puzzle pieces but an important piece. My wife has adjusted to the diet very well and we both try to follow it. We are not fanatics however. But we do try. With a little creativity, one can make substitutions that make healthy eating very good indeed.

For patients with a tumor load (ie... not in full remission) I suggest being a real fanatic with all of their suggestions. After all, it is a fight for your life.

I have been in full remission for more than 4 yease. I am not as strict as I was.

I can't say enough about the clinic and the loving staff. It feels more like going home than going to a cancer clinic. Not everybody survives their struggle though. Still, I personally have never spoken with any patient that didn't think it was the best thing they ever did regardless of their particular outcome. That is saying something.

Good luck and God Bless!

Jim, Is the clinic in Santa Barbara affiliated with the one you went to?

Hi.

Sorry for the tardy reply. The clinic near Santa Barbara (actually located in Carpenteria) is run by Dr. Christian Issels ND. He is the son of the famous cancer researcher Dr. Yosef Issels who pioneered the treatments for several decades and whose treatments are used even today at the Issels Clinic in Tijuana Beach.

If I can help out in any way, don.t hesitate to write. I can always be reached through my site www.survivingsmallcell.com

Best regards,

Jim.

Hi, I have to ask about the issels treatment. IVe read the website over and over. It all seems too good to be true. But on the other hand desperate times call for desperate measures.

Does anyone out there know much if anything about it. Jim, Ive read your website, well done. But please please excuse my mistrust, after all this is the internet where we are all 25 and built like gods.

I would like to hear from someone who did not have a successfull outcome. or from somoene that did.

Many thanks

Scoot

Scoot I have a friend from Scotland who is currently at Issels undergoing treatment. His is also a member of this board....Number4....is his member name. I noticed last night he posted a message that he'd be glad to communicate with anyone interested. I didn't take notice of what board it was on. If you can't find the message let me know via private message and I can give you his E mail address.
