My husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma in July of 2017 and he passes this week 16 April 2018. Omg it was a rough road for him myself and our entire family. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. My prayer is that they find a cure. God blees

Prayers for you and your family - lost my husband in 2011 after a 31 month battle to gliobastoma.  Praying for a cure as well.

I lost my husband on the 20th of April 2018 on glioblastoma.  He was diagnosed with it in on the 20th of April 2014. He was 73 and till his last day he expressed his wish to live and be cured. It breaks my heart when I think of his last week. Of his panick and despair.  He died in our own house with me at his side.

We went trough every treatment they proposed and the first two and a half year we only got positive news. The tumor did not grow at that time, but also didn't disappear. We constantly lived between hope and fear. And both of us froze from fear every time we had to go back for the next scan.  That was every 3 months.

After it started again, my husband was operated twice, had another radiotherapy and chemo which didn't work.

In surgery twice the tumor came out very well. We saw that on the scan.  But after 6 weeks it was there again.

The last treatment happened in November 2017. We had to go to the hospital every day during 3 weeks.  At first he could walk from the parking to the therapy on his own.  After a week he only could be brought there in a wheelchair.

His last months he couldn't walk at all no more.  He couldn't use any part of his left side. And  on his last days, his sight also disappeared. And he was so  very sad.

He still enjoyed the visits of our kids and grandchildren very much.  But cried every time they had to go.

And now he is gone for good.  He wanted to have a party on the first of May when we would have been together for 50 years.

We celebrated his life then, but I miss him so very much.

You don't wish this grief to anyone.  Seeing your love suffer and not being able to help him whatever you do.

Rietenal,

The story of your family battle is distressing. Your husband is out of pain now. I hope your obvious pain subsides too and you can look back on your obviously wonderful life together. A terrible cancer.
