My dad was just diagnosed with NSCLC and the ALK gene....it had spread to the brain (cerebellum) which is the only reason we even knew about the lung cancer (he had balance/vision and severe headaches and went to emerg)...he had brain surgery and cyberknife radiation...now they are working on the lung cancer..We are in Canada and there is a new drug, Alectinib...its been in the US and other places for a few years I think....after reading about it, it sounds amazing and I am excited that my dad is able to get it. (well hopefully, because we are waiting to see if they will give it to him as their insurance doesnt cover it and it is very expensive.).

Anyways, just wondering if anyone has been on Alectinib/Alecensaro and if you suffered any side effects and how long you were on treatment for.  Or if you have any additional information for this drug.

thank you.
