Hi my mom has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer about a year and a half ago. She was diagnosed with it about 3 years ago stage 4 as well and miraculously was cancer free about a year later. But the cancer had already ate away most of her bones. Now when she was diagnosed the second time it was 10 times worse than the first and they told her she had weeks to months to live. It has now been a year and a half where she has been pushing through as hard as she can to live as long as she can. But the past couple of months her contrition has been getting worse and worse. There is cancer in every part of her body except in the liver and brain. But her liver is failing so she has edema buildup excessively everywhere in her body and it has now traveled to her lungs and around her heart. There’s only so much fluid they can drain, but the next day it is just as much fluid as before and all it is is causing her pain. She has no energy, just getting out of bed drains her, especially now that there is fluid in her lungs it makes it very hard to breathe, and she is just in constant pain. What I am wanting to know, is how much longer does my mom have expected? I know it varies from each patient but there’s honestly no getting better for my mom because the cancer and fluid is absolutely everywhere. I pray and pray just for my mom to be in no pain and I don’t want to lose my mom it crushes me to see her go through this and I don’t dare ask her or her doctors how long is expected because my mom is the most positive person you will ever meet and everyday she just keeps saying that she is going to beat this and things are going to start getting better soon. But then it seems like each week a new problem has occurred. So it’s hard to ask but I just want somewhat of an idea to know how long my mom has. I don’t want to think she is doing fine and her problems are severe but then a week later she dies and I had to expectation of it. So I just am wanting some sort of idea to know how long my mom has and I’m hoping that she can still make it through this. Thanks.

Also she has a very low WBC count. The last time she went in it was at like 12. Which is absolutely terrible because I know you are supposed to have thousands, very low protein so is needed to be given albumin every week as well as blood. Don’t know if that affects how long she has I just know her immune system is very very weak.
