No Pathology as of yet...

First off, I am not patient. It is not my fortay. I do my best. My surgery was two months ago. Pathology post surgery was unable to adeqately stage the tumor and had it sent for a secondary opinion and a molcular profile. Fast forward and it is still not complete.

I believe this was a drop of the ball and that it sat in the lab for weeks instead of done readily.

So now that I am overly anxious about the results, I was asked if I needed to go see a therapist.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do?

Anxiety is very common when first dealing with this dx, although u haven’t even gotten your exact DX. Seeing a therapist, getting a anti anxiety med, exploring if there are any brain tumor support groups in your area could all be helpful. Dodger

The normal approach is the cold test in the operating room, this result if more serious is nown right after the tumor resection (removing of tumor), if they can not get the grade of the tumor or what type it is then you will need additional test, the additional test is normally confirmed at a good hospital within 48-72hrs, so the time lenght you have gone through does not look like someone is keeping track.

Call hospital and ask for test results of the tumor pathology.

PS if they can not answer go up the management tree.

God bless
