Good afternoon,

My husband, 49 years old , diagnosed one year ago with Stage IV, mets to lungs, liver, bones and lymph nodes is starting a clinical trial of immunotherapy (NC318) on 11/26/18. Anyone else signed up for this trial? Or anyone else currently on any clinical trial? He did chemo for a year but it stopped working so we are running out of options...

I am ver sorry to hear that, but I have stage IV nasopharyngeal cancer (very rare in the US) and had 2 rounds of chemo but that did not work and my doctor asked me to sign up for the clinical trial immunotherapy and it works well for me, I have been living like there is nothing wrong with me for the last 2 1/2 years. Although it does not always work for everyone. but I hope you guys will at least try as you mentioned you are running out of option. Hope this help!

Hi there. My husband was diagnosed 2 years ago this month stage 4 esophageal cancer meets to liver and lung. He's been stable since last December? Started immunotherapy January/Feb 2018 and is doing great. They administered radiation last month to liver to kick it up a notch. Studies show radiation help invigorate treatment. Hoping for great results next month ? worst side effect from immunotherapy has been fatigue. Other than that, life is good

I can't wait for him to start this trial. He has been off chemo since April and it's scary. Let's hope all will be well. I have great expectations with this treatment and just wished he could've started a different one that was scheduled for the beginning of November but the biopsy requested to enter this treatment didn't work as they were only able to remove dead tumor cells from his liver and the trial needs live cells to study progression. 16 more days to go!

So sorry to hear about your situation.  My husband has Stage 4 kidney cancer for 1.5 years now, and on immunotherapy for 1.25 years.  So far so good, no visible cancer and no new cancer for 6 months.  Just make sure you take Beta Glucan daily to help your body kill the cancer and tumors.  That's what happened to him.  You can buy it on Amazon for $16 for 60 pills, the brand we buy is NOW.  Take 1 pill 30 min. before you eat or 2 hours after you eat for best absorption.  I wish you the best.  Sheila
