Hi guys, I am 12 months post op Total thyroidectomy and lymph node removal .

My issue is regarding weight gain on thyroxine medication.

I have researched a little and there are suggestions on cutting out carbs or changing to natural Thyroid replacement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What's your target TSH level, what is the actual TSH you have at this time ? Depending on having or not a TSH supression protocol, you might able to lessen your intake.

It is always better to work with the actual thyroid hormones, Free t4, Free t3 and Reverse t3 than it is TSH, though you have to worry about when you get the blood draw to use the Free T labs well.

For some ideas

Thankyou for your reply, sorry I haven't been on here for a while.

My TSH is 0.5 my Endo says that is where he wants it to be.  I am taking 150mg if thyroxine 6 days a week and have Sunday free.
