radioembolization

Curious if anyone has any experience with radioembolization for liver mets.  My husband has pancreatic cancer with metastasis to the liver.  The main pancreatic tumor is responding to chemo, however he has the mets to the liver that are slowly increasing in size.  It is being suggested that radioembolization would be beneficial to stunt the growth of the mets to the liver.  Looking for anyone with first hand experience with this procedure.  Thanks

Hello! I’m curious - could you follow up and share your experience if your husband did indeed have the Y90/radioembolization procedure done? My Dad has Stage 4 PC with liver mets and is about to undergo both chemo embolization and Y90 targeted at the liver. I am seeking any info about side effects and results for both procedures. Thank you so much!

My Husband did in fact have the targeted Y90, it stopped those mets in their tracks, however it did not stop new mets from appearing.  Side effects were minimal and only lasted a couple days.  Good luck to you

Thank you so much for the reply. We are anxious to get this procedure underway and hope for similar results with his current liver mets.
