Just wondering what has happened to the posts here;  there haven't been any new ones for two weeks, even though there was one on the Newsletter.

I agree.  There seems to be less postings on this sit than 5 years ago when I 1st joined. Hopefully, it is due to less newcomers into this exclusive club.

I’m still here thankfully... Hopefully the lack of new posts recently is indicative of less people being inducted into the HNSCC club but I suspect that’s probably not the case unfortunately. Last night I tried to start a new post to share an interesting article I came across. The post is pending moderator approval... here is the article link in the interim for those interested: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6258135/ Stay positive, N

Susan,

I don't post as often as I did in the past. There was a spell where the site was continually hit with spam messages and it took several days for it to be removed. Hence a change in the way we can reply. I found that when I did have something useful for someone, it either never got posted or it was several days before I could see my reply to the original poster.

I have started to stop in a little more often to see who might need some information as to what we go thru. But again, now I realize that it might be 2 days before my reply is posted. I guess the moderators need to extra careful with the spammers.

I am glad to see you are still here helping so many as always.

mtjjohn1,

John, it good to see you post once again, I think of you and your son. I remember both of you were going to some NY games years ago.

Very true on this road afterwards, many "New Normals" pop up. One day at a time for me, I enjoy each one given.

Susan,

I don't post too often--my situation is a bit different: surgery through the mouth and no radiation or chemo.  I'm now six years out and the ENT and surgeon consider me cured.  I have a slightly paralyzed tongue, but it doesn't interfere with speech.

I'm responding because I often check the site out to see if I can help anyone, and always appreciate your responses.  You have helped many who have gone through what we have.  You are to be congratulated for your faithfulness to checking the site and responding whenever you can help.

Bill,

Thanks for your kind words and also for your advocacy here.  I just feel that I was blessed with good friends, both in real life and online, who helped me immeasurably while I was sick, so the least I can do is try to help others a bit.

I do wonder, and worry a bit, when there is no activity here.

Susan
