I am 8 radiation and 1 chemo in. I have larynx cancer. I am starting to experience pain while swallowing. Pain pills work a little. Need advice on what to take other than pills. I also have trach and feeding tube. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

An easy answer for me as I've been there.

Can I assume you are there for the 34? or 32? session? I never had the option of feeding tube  or at least don't remember, when I was at it but it seems it certainly would make it easier IF in is in your stomach and not down the back of your throat. Can I further assume your pills(what are they giving you) are crushed and syringed down the tube? They should be.  It isn't going to be easy, but some pain now will keep you alive for the future..it is worth it even if you can't see it now. lol
