Hi, My wife was diagnosed with rectal cancer 8/15/18 she went through radiation and chemo final treatment was 12/13/18. She had her first surgery on 2/14/19 to remove the tumor and perform the resectioning with an ileostomy, the reversal was done 2 weeks later 2/28/19 due to complication with the wafer, products and allergys. It all started out pretty good it wasn't long before her BM where just what the surgeon wanted and the surgical wounds were healing but very slow. she had mild cramping and some discomfort with burning near the rectum after BM ,this was due to some liquid discharge like most of you have experienced. but recently the cramping has become so severe and painfull and we just dont know what to do or what causes it . We have tried eliminating certain foods from her diet thinking that maybe its dietery. Has anyone had similiar symptoms and what did you do to minimize the pain does it ever get better. Is this part of the healing process. Please help a broken hearted Husband who feels helpless, I just don't know what to do to help.
