As a result of taking Thalidomide for 11 months and taking Velcade for 6 cycles I have severe Neuropathy in both feet. My doctor prescribed Neurontin which did not help. A firm by the name of ReBuilder Medical Inc. is selling a product called the ReBuilder claiming it reduces the pain from Neuropathy.

Has anyone out there tried this product? If you have I would appreciate any feedback you could give me wether good or bad. I would like to check this product out before making a rather large investment purchasing it.

Hi Andrew,

I realize this is a very late reply, but I just discoverd CancerCompass and happened upon your post by accident while I was exploring the site. Yes, my neurologist uses and recommends the ReBuilder for neuropathy. He gives you treatments in the office to determine whether or not the device will actually help the patient before he writes a prescription for it. There is also a chriopractor in my town and another doctor that I know of that use the ReBuilder and recommend them for their patients. I have used the ReBuilder for my neuropathy and it has made a big difference. I do not know if it will ever completely cure it, but I do know my ability to walk has improved, my pain has decreased, and I sleep much better. I also take gabapentin, but it is the very lowest dose and I only take it once a day. I hope you have already tried the ReBuilder by the time I found this post and found relief, but if you haven't, I highly recommend you look into it further. Also you might want to check and see if your insurance covers it.  I believe some of them do.

I used the Rebuilder back in 2000 for neuropathy in my feet and got total and permanent relief after a few weeks of use.

I notice that there is a similar device for about 1/3 the price called the:

Ultima Neuro Neuropathy Feet System
on Amazon.

Glad to hear you got permanent relief, I am very close to that myself using the ReBuilder. As for this Ultima Neuro, my cousin looked into that because he could not afford a ReBuilder and was shocked by what he found. He saw one site that said it could be used as a ReBuilder and with the water bucket, but it all looked sketchy, since they weren't saying that anywhere else, and everywhere else showed single foot treatment to the calf only. He bypassed the distributor, claiming to be a special doctor of this neuropathy and went right to the manufacturer who told him that it can not be used with the footbucket, it would be considered offlabel and highly not recommended.....This same doctor is also trying to sell the ReBuilder, but it is always out of stock. It is either classic bait and switch or the ReBuilder is just that much better that he can't keep them in stock. Either way, I told my cousin just to avoid this guy and go right to the manufacturer, whoever he chooses, this used car salesman attitude is no good for medical products. Myself, I know what worked for me, and I also know you usually get what you pay for.....

I have not heard of the Rebuilder but had total success with another option. After 5 years on and off rev, Velcade and now pomalyst my neuropathy was off the charts. A local chiropractor in The Villages Fl advertised a procedure involving LED light therapy. After two months of 4 a week treatments of about 20 minutes each, I am 99% free of any neuropathy. Expensive but well worth it. George
