Hey Joe b, I had prostate surgery last May and my surgeon tells me recently that the best kind of radiation therapy available is the IMRT - I think it means Intensive Modified Radiation Therapy - I've researched all the different types of Rad. Therapy and I'm sold on IMRT; of course I feel that Proton Therapy is the very best, but it is only offered out at Loma Linda, Ca. If at any time my psa rises and it's local recurrence; I'm doing the IMRT !! I believe the side-effects are minimal, w/o the rectal complications; I wouldn't look forward to that kind of SE....Just my two cents...thought I'd let ya know...good luck, Eyeguy dx 3/14/05 LRP 5/12/05
