Hi there- I would ask his oncologist if he is HER2 positive and if so he can possible be put on herceptin and/or perjeta. These drugs are infused like chemo but they are biologically and not chemo. Very well tolerated and you can stay on them long term if they are working.

I don't think he is HER2 but has AURKA marker and PIK3CA. Any suggestions?

My mother-in-law was diagnosed and it is already metastasized to her lungs. She has just finished chemo/radiation. The doctors said if this treatment was successful her chances of having years was good. If it wasn't then they are saying she had up to a year. These are the same doctors who treated my father-in-law who had melanoma and Hodgin's lymphoma. I trust them. She is stage 3

How are you today?

She is somewhat weak, but doing remarkable well. Great attitude. Walks eats normally, but no sugar and minimal carbs.

We are amazed. Not sure if diet combined with a couple of weeks worth of traditional chemo +faith is working or what.

Looking for clinical trials to allow body to target and distroy.

Liver is like a complete tumor, enzimes beliruban and insulin is all steadily normal. Eyes and skin white.

Your thoughts or suggestions. Chances of survival?

My mother passed away in November of gallbladder to liver cancer.....just wondering if anyone has had the ultimate fortune of surviving this beast?

In 2014 I had Hep C (now cured) and when they did a liver scan found a tumor in my gall bladder, stage 3.  I had surgery where they removed some nodes and part of my liver, then went on chemo with gemzar only.  Great results and no symptoms at all.  I'm still doing fine and am mystifying my doctors.  So yes, there are survivors.  Good luck to you

Your story is sad as well as very much encouraging for me. My mom has just been diagnosed with stage IV Gallbladder cancer. The cancer has not spread very much. Just one 1 x 0.8 cm nodule in abdomen, liver edge where Gallbladder is attached to liver and very few surrounding lymphnodes. Nothing else.

Doctors are plannig to start her on Gemzar and cisplatin. Lets see what happens later.

Please keep my mom in your prayers.

How did your mom fair?

My wife's case is more severe but same chemo combo exactly 9 years later.
