I was diagnosed with Stage 2 EC 3 years ago, went through chemo, radiation and surgery. All scans so far have been clear. I still have some digestive tract issues and food gets stuck sometimes where they put everything back together. I've had several dilations to enlarge my esophagus. They help for a while. I think I will need another one pretty soon, though.I have to remind myself constantly when I eat to chew everything up very, very throughly before I swallow. I usually stick to soft proteins like poultry and fish, fruits and vegetables.

When you speak of swallowing, I know exactly what you mean. Trouble is you are used to eating one way for years and now you have to avoid certain hard food and other you have to cut small and eat slowly. Been there. But things could be worse. Enjoy what you can do because you had cancer and can still do. Enjoy life...its a great gift.
