Hi everyone. I have stage 4 colorectal cancer with liver and lung metastases. I've talked to 2 medical oncologists, 1 radiation oncologist and a general surgeon. None of them have recommended surgery, and radiation was used to shrink the rectal tumor. Everything I've read about this has indicated that surgery is the standard procedure, but I've also read about people who have had radiation first and then surgery. I've considered consulting with a surgical oncologist. Does anyone here have any experience with this?
