I'm new to this forum but have read many of the posts and am sad that most folks don't seem to know what modern day medicine is about. Thanks for posting this link, hopefully you will have convinced some to reconsider what they have been told by there doctor's who supposedly have their best interest at heart but have set the bar so low in treating their patients that when they die it was to be expected anyway. Be scared enough for your dad to do something about it.

I am going to talk to him about it.  I hope he will take my word over his oncologist.  I have been feeling really scared that I am going to lose him sooner from the chemo than from the cancer!

We are conditioned to believe in the system, that they are acting in your best interest. Your dad will most likely take the word of the man wearing the white lab coat with the stethoscope hanging around his neck over what you may have to say.  Be patient do more research first before you confront him only to get shot down. He may listen if you have a plan.

yes, I should get good information to back my opinion up!

Thanks for the replies!

Having your father watch this documentary might help-

The only chemo I would ever consider is targeted Low-dose,  called IPT. Not nearly as many side effects, and the important thing, it's much more effective. This video is of one of the few doctors in the states doing IPT, Dr James Forsythe. If you're on the East coast, Dr Linchitz does the same treatment in New York

Hi peace love

I'm hoping the following link will be of some help to you.

http://www.cand.ca/index.php?id=findnd&no_cache=1&L=

There is at least one practitioner listed who does IV c therapy which is a big part of the protocol I credit for my return to health.  I posted early in 2007 about a friend I met at the clinic I go to who was declared terminal with prostate cancer in late 2006..... PSA reading was  4460 and the cancer had covered both lungs, all his bones from his thighs to his skull as well as his lymphatic system.   After five months of weekly IVc treatment and one course of 714X all scans and test showed him to be No Evidence of Disease.  Sadly he passed recently at age 72 from a respiratory infection brought about by the flu.

Of course not everyone has such a speedy result.  His seemed almost miraculous.  Still I have been witness to many other patients with various types of cancer who have also successfully used IV c as a PART of their alternative cancer treatment protocol.  If you'd like more links to some research I've done let me know.

Best regards

Honestly; do more research. What chemo are they wanting to use? Once you have that info; read the posts here or make another post; hopefully others will reply & let you know if it helped them.

Chemo can be a necessary evil; what are the other options? One of my hubs co-workers just buried his dad because of prostate cancer.

FWIW; the site you linked to is one I've never seen before. You should be able to find enough information that says what standard treatment is for prostate cancer. Go from there.
