BMS-936558 Phase II trial

Can anyone on this trial bring me up to date with how they are doing? I've got 2 weeks before I go back and have a 2nd Cat scan that will tell me whether I can stay on this trial.

The first scan I had after 6 weeks (2 sessions) showed about a 10% growth in my cancer. They told me it takes longer for the medicine to work on some people. Has anybody else on this trial had this same response in their trial? I would appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Thanks, Jim

Good luck with your CT scan. My husband is behind you in timing, just finished the second infusion and has first CT scan scheduled for Feb 22. We are also interested in the status of others in this study.

Hello!

My husband Len received his 9th infusion last week, he has shown improvement (tumors up to 1/3 smaller on some scans), the latest scan the tumors all remained approx the same size (measured in millimeters and no growth..so still a positive). He has gained back almost all of the weight he lost while on sutent and afinitor and currently has less cancer than he did at this time last year!

Hi Jim,

I am on the BMS trial 6 wks and just had my 1st follow-up CT scan for the study.  My tumors INCREASED almost 15%.  Now they are telling me they have observed this in other patients, but patients often experience decreases or leveling off in subsequent CT scans.  I pray this will be true for us.  Let me know how you make out.  Good luck!

This is true about the increase during your first 6 weeks. I increased 10% during my first 6 weeks, then only 1% after my next scan 6 weeks later. I have another scan in 3 weeks, we'll see what happens then. Hopefully a decrease. I'll keep you informed. Once again, keep those cards and letters coming.

That's encouraging.  I hope and pray you will do even better on next scan set.  Keep me informed.

Jim, I've also been thinking about you.  How did your 3rd set of scans go?  Hoping for the best!

My husband has just had his second CT scan (on this trial) and his 5th cycle of this drug. His CT showed no progression for the first time since last summer. Hopefully the next CT scan will show some shrinkage.
