Spread to the lungs

Rather sad today Rick had another pet/scan and we found out his PC has gone to his lungs guess it wasn't happy being in his liver twice. In fact they said the 20% of the liver that they cut away last June has grown back and he has a normal shape liver with no cancer in it.  We are going on 6yrs 4 months with stage 4 he's my miricle man, I feel bad though because he now has a hernia from building me this beautiful tree house and now he is in so much pain and his Dr. is out of the country till May 13, so he wants to wait till he gets back to fix his hernia, but now with the lungs being involved its hard to say what will happen. His new Lung Dr wants him to start back on chemo he did great on gemstar and Tarceva but they put him on florfinox for three months in March last year before his liver resection and he didn't tolarate it well. He's not sure what he wants to do he is such a fighter walks 3-5 miles every day with our two great dane/irish wolfhounds even in all this pain, but I can see he is getting tired of the roller coster ride. I told him I would stand behind him no matter what he wants to do, there are so many things it hard to tell which one is the best as always so many questions and not enough answers, keep us in your prayers thanks BobbiL

I am sorry to hear about Ricks cancer going to the lung.  My prayers are with you.  I have stage 4B pancreatic adenocarcinoma cancer that went to my liver.  I am a 63 year old female.  My cat scan shows only 2 small lesions left in my liver.  How many lesions did your husband have in the liver and what kind of surgery did he have?  I have been on chemo for almost a year.  Hope your are doing great.  I had the Whipple but 6 weeks after it went to my liver.  Have they done any radiaion on his liver?  God Bless you, Miracle Marty

Three years ago Rick had two spots on his liver and he had a liver ablation, but when they went in there were three then last June it came back again and he had 20% of the liver resected, he has been on chem 5 out of the 6 years, had 6 weeks of radiation 6 years ago right after his whipple, now he is set up in may to remove spots on lungs and ablate the ones he can't get to then he will have to go back on chemo he has been off of it since june. take care and good luck
