I just saw a post about multiple family members having GBM.  I just wanted to remind everyone that there is an ongoing study

looking for cases like these to find the GBM conection.

I know of Li Fraumeni Syndrome that causes many kinds of cancer in the same family ( genetic disorder ) including GBMbecause of a failure of PT53 gene.

A test for this gene should be done

All the best

Good question about the PT53 gene. We have no blood sample from my sister Barb, Sandy don't know if they can test the tissue sample? Yesterday I spoke with two Dr. One in Texas(head of the gliogene study )the other in Detroit (Henry Ford) . They both asked about other cancer, they may have had. Thank you Sharon

How come there is a website about it?

My husband has GBM for 9 years now and I have heard people talk about this study for many years.  Is iit over?

I had the impression there's a study but it doesn't involve treatment, just gathering information to better understand the phenomenon.

That is the purpose of the study.  To try and find the similarities to help determine what may cause GBM.  Sorry if

you misunderstood.
