As I have stated before. My husband has stage IV PC w/ mets to his liver. He had another PET scan done last Thursday and we got the results today. The mets on the liver are growing. He now has cancer in a bone in the base of his neck. Tumor in his stomach. Cancer in his pelvic area. It is spreading fast. Last scan was 2 months ago and so many new areas. Have an appointment on Friday to talk about this scan. God please let us have Christmas. Our Anniversary is in November and Christmas is our favorite holiday. My heart is breaking. I know I have to stay strong for him but I am not sure how much strenght I have left. It is so hard seeing him in pain and nothing I can do to take it all away. He is my soul mate and best friend. So uncertain on what else is next.....

I am not an expert but had followed some in support group and previously went to a symposium as I had a related cancer.  Depending on which Chemo he was on, and if not on a trial, maybe doing a trial.  If he has not been to a top NCI center then a second opinion very fast.  I also presume some supplements and dietary changes may be of some benefit as well.  There are different combinations, drugs, including folfirinox, some ?egfr drugs in combination.  Some countries use chinese herbs with chemo, America I think had some in trial, some think some mushroom extracts of some help.  I had liked anticancer diet by Dr. Servan Schreiber, but I am talking in combination with conventional.  Good luck!

Not a promise, and I only know about my own kidney cancer but check into the Gerson diet.  They claim to have many cures for those of us with no hope.  I am thinking of trying myself.  Good luck to you.

I am sorry about your husband and yourself.

I was Dx with stage3 pc and am on folfirinox. I started the Budwig diet about a month after the diagnosis on Nov 2011 and, thanks God, I am doing quite Ok. Please check that diet. It works, I know  that first hand. I am also taking anamu capsules and Graviola. check them out in the computer. My oncologist asked me what i am doing besides chemo. i think everything is working together. do not desestimate the Budwig diet.

read "Wishes Fulfilled". It will also help him.

God will help him if he asks.

God bless both of you. I hope this help

Also I think Budwig (and I did some of the cottage cheese/yogurt and flax oil too) and others include the premise of an alkaline diet reducing inflammation and cancer.  Red meat then is usually not good...  Apple cider vinegar and I think lemon ok...  I do agree that a mix of theories if they do not actively interfere with chemo, make sense.  If I had the money I would have tried acupuncture too.  I did reiki and massage for relaxation, physical contact during the hard parts of it all too in lieu of enough hugs.  I found myself hugging people just to get a hug, being hopeful can help too as it seems when people feel beaten they are.  The media just posted actress bonnie franklin of one day at time tv series is battling pancreatic cancer.  The periampullary cancers are increasing in frequency, especially pancreatic.
