I am in tears reading this thread.  My fiance is going through treatment now and I want nothing more than to have and raise babies with him someday.  The hardest thing for me is the fear of reoccurance and what then?  You all have perfectly described so many of the feelings I am having. It is good to not feel alone although I am so sorry you all have gone through or continue to go through this.

Thank you for posting your personal stories.  It gives me hope and peace.

For future readers of this thread, freezing eggs and sperm is a good insurance policy against fertility side effects. Radio Active Iodine (which I took for ThyCa) is still unknown either to cause or not cause issues, but since it causes some fertility hormones fluctuation, it's better be safe than sorry.

We conceived (using nature's old-fashioned way) after waiting 6 months, but having frozen sperm gave us a piece of mind for "what if" scenarios.

thanjs very much for sharing your story and for updating your thread. how's everything going now? did you conceive naturally or via ivf?

my husband has been off from temodar for 7 months  now, our only son is two years old so it's time for us to think about having another child, but since my husband had been  continuously taking temodar for 2 years, a very long period, we decided to wait after the 1 year frame has passed tgen try naturally.

it was such a relief to know that temodar will not cause inferility, thanks for giving me hope.

Are you familiar with Charles Trippy?  He is the bass player for the We The Kings band.  He is on you-tube and holds the world record for the most consecutive you tube videos for the past ten years.  He was diagnosed with an Oligodendroglioma grade 3 brain tumor.  He had two surgeries and has been on and off Temodar over the years.  His wife is expecting their first baby in a couple of months.  They conceived naturally.  You can find his CTFXC videos on You Tube.  Unfortunately, he will be going back on chemotherapy for at least the next six months due to a possible recurrence discovered at his last MRI.  His videos are interesting to watch for me since I was also diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma grade 3 brain cancer.  He is an inspiration for anyone going through brain cancer.  His awake crainitomy was also filmed and can be seen on you tube.  Best wishes!  Franke

Hi. I'm new here. I was originally diagnosed with an oligo in 2016 but re-diagnosed as having astrocytoma this past year (2018). We are currently considering a baby. He has two from a previous marriage, I don't have any. I'm having a hard time justifying bringing someone into the world knowing that I will probably die, but on the other hand I'd want to spend as much time with my baby as I possibly could and I know the more treatments I go through the less chance I have of conceiving naturally. I know this thread is about male infertility but I felt that I related to the way some of you felt and its comforting to know that I'm not the only one struggling with this difficult decision.
