Decided to start the new year with a fly by the old message board and am thrilled to see lots of the names that guided me through the arduous treatment for BOT surgery and radiation. Thanks and blessings to ALL who take the time to help each poster with questions and feelings of helplessness.

Dave,

You are awesome and well loved here.  If you ever find yourself in Northern Virginia, you need to call me because an excellent dining experience awaits you!  We are going to dine at the four seasons or the Ritz, your choice.  I would love your company like every survivor here.

Mark

Sorry, I'm late but better late than not at all.  I am so glad to hear your back on the site.  You were an inspiration to me during my husband's treatment for tonsil cancer and and his neck dissection.  I'm glad to say he's post treatment now for 2 years and three months the 8th of February.  He will be going for a CT scan before his next med oncologist appointment in May and I'm thinking positive thoughts.  He really hasn't gained much of his tastebuds back nor much of his saliva but he continues to eat most everything with his trusty water bottle not far away.  He looks great and you'd never know what he's been through to look at him.  It's been great to hear from you.  I wish you a great new year!

Cornerman Dave!  I am so glad to see that you made it back, you were such an inspiration to so many of us with your kind words and optimistic way about you.  I too do not make it to boards as much as I did when my husband was battling "the little c", but I do come back once in a while and I was extremely excited to see you post.

On a side note, May 27th will be 5 years ago that my husband finished his last radiation treatment for throat cancer.  It certainly has been a ride but we made it through so far and I hope for many more cancer free years to come.

God Bless you all & Cheers!

Brandi
