I was told by an alternative/adjuvant pharmascist that the North American species, PawPaw is more bio-active than Graviola, the South American species. I think he pointed me to relevant research articles citing such , but can't find them right now.

I ordered the juice from Amazon but now I'm not sure I'm going to give it to my husband...  :(

There's a reported link between Soursop and Parkinson's Disease...  My husband is suffering enough without getting Parkinsons as well...

Ugh - nothing is easy...   :/   Anyway, just a heads up for you guys.

My husband has also started taking soursop, Guanabana frozen pulp, Goya brand. If you have a smal ethnic store near you, oriental, hispanic or middle eastern that carries Goya products. You can ask them to special order a case for you when they make their Goya order. That's what we did. We have a case in our freezer now that will last about a month.

Best of Luck,

Kat

Do you think the Soursop has helped your husband? If so, what treatment regimen is he on? My Dad has had radiation, on Avastin & Temodar. I don't want to add something to the mix that could add to the problems. Thank you

My husband had all of his tumor removed during surgery, and he has only been using the soursop for about 3 wks so far. So there is no way to know if its working. Everything we are doing at this point is to hopefully prevent regrowth.  He is also in his last 2 wks of radiation and taking Temodar. There is a man on this message thread, however, who says his wife's tumor has shrunk since starting to eat soursop. Since it is a fruit, I don't think it would interfere with chemo.

No fruit does interfere with Chemo.  There is plenty of reasearch that even when you take chemo Do NOT EAT GRAPEFRUIT.
