Thank you for stopping and finding my posts.  I am so inspired by your testimonial recovery...God bless you!

I wish mine was the same?  I go to the VA Hospital in Salisbury,NC. I'v e been extreme pleased with their medical professionalism and knowledge of this cancer. The only bad news is they told me that my surgery is too risky? But I said are'nt all surgery's ricky. They said there's a major Artery feeding the Primary cancer in my sm bowel and they would'nt try to preform the surgery/ Anyway what can I say, I am still challenging them on this , I going to meed with the Surgery Board w/ my Oncologist and try to have it done some how? Thanks again for your concern and advice...

God Bless you  DON

Remember, I was told I was terminal and they could not operate. If you accept that kind of diagnosis on face value you are going to die, plain and simple. I became angry when i was told me that, and submersed myself in medical journals to read about this cancer I had. What is a doctor but another human who went to college a few more years than I did? If they can learn it so can I. And I did, bringing away from that experience the fact that you MUST be your own medical advocate. My research brought me to a few specialists, among which was Mike Choti at Hopkins. He was going to be my guy. Turned out I picked we'll, he saved my life and exorcised the cancer - all of it. I'm not saying you will have the same success as I did, but you should try to get to one of these master specialists as they will be your best chance at beating this disease. You only get one shot at it, so cover ally our bases. Good luck

Thank you dcollie once again for your reply...it was well taken. I hope to at lease exhaust every possible chance of having my surgery. I know if it does'nt get removed I am only going to have troubles down the road. I've been trusting Doctors to help me, but my full trust is in Jesus Christ  Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Oh my God !!!. what kind of doc. is M. CHOTI? I AM ASKING because I went to J. Hopkins and the oncologist doc. was great (a # 10, in my book), but my plastic surgeon was the worse doctor I ever show in my life. What he did to me, in unforgetable. i went into a deep depression and frozen stage for one +1/2 years. Will you please tell me what kind is that doctor? if he is plastic surgeon (i hope he is, but for what you say, it doesn't look he is...) Any way I am very glad you are ok today and free of Ca. God bless you and protect you.

IF YOU HAVE insurance, please check with J. Hopking Hosp. in Baltimore, (search other places) maybe they can take you and do the surgery you need. There must be a hospital somewhere were they have experts in that kind of surgery. JUst remember it is a very dangerous surgery ... so it has a great risk. I really hope you can find somewhere or something. In the mean time, try to see if some of the alternative treatments are good for you. And try to eat organic as much as possible and not sugar NOTHING not even fruit (except if its a treatment protocol). The best tx. hospital that I know is in Houston, tx. Anderson hospital. people from Europe go there... that doesn't mean there not other hospitals that are very good to treat your type of ca. I wish you lots of Good luck.

Again, I am sorry you don't have insurance? at all? because j. Hopkins will take any insurance. MORE YET, call them and ask them. They have a special (free of charge) ...(?) money? or... i don't know how to call it,  for people with no insurance and can't afford to pay, you can apply and  they may take you. You just have to ask them. Many hospitals have something like that (from private money given by donors, I guess). Please, try this. and don't loss hope, you never know. I don't have insurance either, but I am lucky, I have my husband's, I loss mine when I left my job.  AND try this doctor if you can. My oncologist left J.H. Hosp. last year to go to Yale Medical school. He was a great doctor (#1 in my list).
