Hi Phil,

Glad to hear Colin is still doing well. Quality of life is important. I feel that supplements help with the worst side effectc of chemo.

Yang I was very lucky, I didn't suffer many side effects from chemo. I was just a little tired and lost my appatite. I also had some neuropathy in hands and feet. The neuropathy has almost gone now, 16 months after my last chemo session. Hopefully things will improve for you. You have a lot to fight for.

Best of luck

Joe

Hi there,  I definitely believe that the Salvestrols have slowed the growth of her tumours. Originally the hopsital advised they would only give one round of chemo. Then they decided to give her a 2nd round because she responded so well and it took longer than they expected to come back. Then they cut ties with us so she had a 3rd round of chemo privately and also started Avastin which is a blood vessell restricter.  She finished her 3rd round of chemo last year and has just been on Avastin since then, combined with her alternative treatments including Salvestrols. They have not cured her but I guess that could also depend on type of cancer you have an stage it is at when you start taking them. Something has definitely been slowing down the tumour growth and baffling the Drs though.  Jo

Hi Jo,

My dad has metastatic gallbladder cancer but he also is being recommended to use Avastin or Everolimus. We are giving right now 3 salvestrols each day platinum dose. Could you pls advise how your mom is doing with avastin and what chemo is she currently on? Did she have any surgery or immunotherapy at all? I found something in Japan with hyperthermia included that I am thinking of taking for my dad (costs $20K for 6 courses of dendrite+NK cells +6 hyprthermia session). What genetic markers does your mom have? Thanks again!

Hi there,

My Mum's latest CT scan showed that her tumours have only slightly increased so the Oncologist is very happy. Clearly the Avastin has been holding back the tumour growth. Mum has had 3 rounds of chemo over the last 5 years.  The first and last time they used Taxol. They were drugs recommended for endometrial cancer though, so wouldn't be relevant to gall bladder cancer. I am not sure what genetic markers Mum has either sorry.  Mum is taking 6 salvestrols per day though. Initially she was on 4. She takes 3 in the morning and 3 at lunch. I haven't heard about hyperthermia treatment so I would recommend you just really research it.  Also try Smart Patients website in case they have some feedback on it.  Unfortunately all private treatments are expensive. Mum has been getting private treatment for the last 18 months since the hospital system in NZ washed their hands of her. They said there was nothing more they could do and handed us over the the hospice. Since then she has had another round of chemo privately which was very effective and the Avastin has been working well.  Definitely make sure you get 2nd or 3rd opinions and don't be afraid to look overseas for help either. My Mum doesn't want to travel anymore so I have to accept that and just look for options in NZ.  I wish your Dad all the very best. He is lucky to have a supportive family.

Jo

Hi there, I saw this site about 2 months ago and I got my dad on Salvestrols straight away, he takes 6 a day and vitamin C, he has lung cancer and was told just over two months ago that his cancer has spread to his spine, I'm absolutely distraught as reading the messages on this site most seem positive with results of Salvestrols. My poor dad has gone down hill rapidly and they don't seem to have touched him. The cancer has progressed and I am completely heartbroken, what are we doing wrong.

So sorry to hear this!! Two months is a short time. Maybe he is a slow responder. Feel free to join the FB group 'salvestrols and synergistic cancer remedies'. You can ask your question there too! A lot of expertise there! Are you sure your dad doesn't take anything that inhibits the salvestrols?

My dad was taking it also for 6 months for his prostate cancer but developed vocal cord cancer- not related to his prostate cancer in any way-  while on salvestrols. So another failure here as well.

Hi there, I am so sorry to hear of your situation.  I believe Salvestrols have helped my Mum's situation but it has been in combination of her doing alot of other things as well as chemo, radiation & surgery. Such as Acupunture, Essaic Tea, Tumeric, Vitamin C, Tai Chi, Regular massages, good diet e.g organic only & juicing   If you read through this blog carefully you will also see that those patients that have been able to maintain a good quality of life even with a bad prognosis are all doing a combination of alternate treatments as well as Salvestrols.  It could also be down to timing as to when a Patient has started Salvestrols.   I do with you and your family well. It must be a very difficult time for you.
