Been 4 months since a 5 week treatment of 3500

Rads of radiation...Still dont feel good..Alot of mucus

In my mouth, tired alot, Anyone out there gone though

This?..Could I be talking about 6 mouths to a year before I feel good again...Also I still have that matalic

Dennis,

My Radiation Oncologist told me that I could battle fatigue for about a year. Actually, for me it was more like 18 months before I was feeling a bit better. I often over did it at work which was partly my fault.

On another note, have you had your thyroid levels (TSH) checked whenever you have blood work done? My RO also told me that it was not a matter of if my thyroid would eventually fail on me, but when. I was pretty lucky as it was around the 5 year mark when my thyroid quit on me, I now take med's for that and they help. It might take a few months to get the right dose. Many others have their's fail in a shorter period of time.

Yes I agree my husband had rituxan treatment and the oncologist told him everything what to expect. His oncologist explains all to us and that does help so much with the symptoms. Thanks,carolyn
