Thank you for your kind words. I havent been on here in a few weeks. Didn't really want to talk about it. I sure wish they would find a cure so that we can spare others.

I know I am going to hear from my critics, but that's life.

Ever since April 2003 I have much thicker skin. We must deal with reality and not wishful thinking...

"They" will never find a cure for this or any other cancer...

"They" only want to treat it and prolong life even if it means more pain and suffering.

Sorry to say this but it is true.

Take care and live life to the fullest.

They may never find a cure for Bile Duct Cancer but I know plenty of people who beat cancer. It all depends on what kind you have. I will not go through my life bitter because of what happend to my father. I still have hope and encouragement because without that...why bother living.

Daddys Daughter.

They way I believe there can be a  "cure" for bile duct/pancreatic/ovarian and other cancers that have such high death rates is early detection.   There are researchers working for a test that can detect these cancers early.   Perhaps by identifying high risk (genetic or environmental) individuals they can then  be monitored and much like the prostate cancer test,  catch it early and thus enhancing the person's chance for a cure.   (of course if it is genetic, perhaps something preventative can come from that arena).  That is my hope.

Thank You PunkyD. I understand people are realistic, as they should be. No Offense Leonard but I have read your posts and you offer alot of insight to people who want information. That is great but it wouldn't kill you to stop being so negative and angry. Your wife, my father and millions of people suffer and die from cancer and it is sad and horrible. We are left here to continue our lives and I do not beliveve that our loved ones want us to live and breathe cancer until it is our time to go. We are all in god's hands. If you continue to live with negativity and fear and doom it will come to pass. I am going to start by discontinuing my time on cancer compass. This journey is over me. My dad is in heaven now and he is happy and no longer in pain. I love and miss you daddy :-)

My dear friend...you totalling misunderstanding me.

I am not angry at all...I am not negative...you do not know me.

You may be in a god hand...not me...

I thought i would also stop but there are many folks out there that want to know what nexts and if when they ask I answer.

I am just letting you and others knw the facts. I know the truth hurts. Many folks go into denial bcause they just do not want to know the truth.

Take care my friend. i think you are making a wise move...Some folks are better off ending their connection with pain and suffering...I know I can help those that are serious about knowing what is next....

I am not the one that will tell you god will help...that is a myth...

My friend found her PC stage 1 had the whipple surgery and is going on as a 15 year survivor.  I have a sister in Law detected breast cancer stage 1 and is a survivior. My husband is going on year 5 survivior of Lieomysarcoma so early detection is the Key. We need to be afficates and fight for cures.

Happy Thanksgiving my friends

Peace out Cathy

Yes I totally agree early detection is the answer to a longer survivor rate...there is no doubt aboyt that.

Surviving cancer longer and longer is out there...curing cancer is not out there. There is no motivation for the medical industry to cure anything...Their business is to treat illnesses not to cure them and eliminate their lively hood. The medical profession is a very large business...

Money is the motivating factor. I know it is hard to understand and believe but folks that is reality...

Human health or the lack of is a business.

Take care and stay healthy,

Leonard from Alamo...
