Oh I've been wanting to see a medium myself, but don't know of any in my area. I'm skeptical but after reading all this, it seems it is really REAL. I feel like you do Sarah in really wanting to know when we can join them. I also want to know that he is not disappointed in anything I have done since he has passed. I bought some new things for the house and got an IPad and he was sort anti hi tech. I've also been trying to keep busy to keep from getting depressed and maybe he would think I was trying too hard. And I do have guilt issues about not being there ( at a rehab facility) when he passed and I'm afraid he may not ever forgive me for that. It bothers me that I have had NO signs yet. So I need to know if he is upset with me. When is the Long Island Medium on and what network?

Mary,

Long Island Medium is on TLC and I believe it is Sunday night.  You can actually google it and watch some episodes on line-Sarah told me that one :).  I just found it on Netflix last night so if you have Netflix, you can watch a whole bunch of episodes right in a row. :)  Not sure if I am correct on the Sunday night part, but I am sure if I am incorrect, someone will give you the correct day of the week and time. :)

Aww Mary...  Even if your husband was anti hi-tech, I'm sure he wasn't anti-YOU and anti-your happiness/sanity.  :)  I'm sure he's not disappointed - probably he's proud of you for finding ways to keep busy and not be too depressed/hurt.

And I've read some people prefer to pass alone as they think it may be easier on their loved ones.  Maybe he waited til you weren't there...  Don't blame yourself, please...  :(

Long Island Medium is on "TLC - The Learning Channel".  Not sure exactly when it's on but you can also Google the channel and catch some episodes/segments.  She's a bit "out there" personality-wise, but I bet that helps sell the show.  :)

I don't know what I think to be honest.  I know that I spent a good part of the time crying and still can't figure that one out. :(  In a way it was interesting, but in a way I am just not sure and in part I am sure that is due to my upbringing and just various things I have researched about mediums and psychics.  I was suprised tho when I turned on Netflix and there it was under recently added.  I was like, hmmm.....  But, after all the crying I did last night, think I best stay away from that show for awhile.  At the rate I am going, there will be nothing I can watch that doesn't hit me wrong. lol

Awwwww yeah...  It made me cry a lot too when I first watched...  :(

And I'm the same way (lol) in that I have never believed in psychics or mediums or any of that.  But there's something about this woman and what she says...  Again, it's a show and can be 100% scripted.  BUT...  either way, it gives me comfort and peace in that the things the woman says are so similar.  Like "there's nothing anyone could have done to change anything" and "passing over was peaceful" and "they'll always be with us, protecting us and loving us..."

Sigh.

Mary,

When I responded to your question about the Long Island Medium, I left a couple of things out.  I apologize as it has been a brain is MIA day. :(  I truly don't believe that your husband would be disappointed in anything that you have done since he passed.  I say this cuz I too go thru times when I think would my husband be ok with this?  I then tell myself that he would not be disappointed in anything cuz for one, he would know that I am doing my very best in a very difficult time and he loved me so much that he would understand and accept what I do cuz he knows I am just trying to find ways to cope.  When it comes to not being at the rehab facility when your husband passed, please try not to feel guilty.  A former bishop told me once that when he would go visit terminal patients in the hospital that he realized something.  The majority of the patients did not pass away until they were alone in their rooms.  They could be in rough shape, but still hanging on due to friends and family being there and when the friends/family left they passed away.  He explained it that it was like they felt more at ease to move on when it was just them instead of having others around.  As for having no signs yet, maybe your husband has given you signs, but they could be very subtle or maybe you are looking too hard and by doing that, missing them due to your anxiety of wanting them so much.  I don't know and I am not putting you down, I am just throwing out a couple of things that are possibilities.  I hope this has made sense and gives you a little bit of comfort cuz we all need it thru this incredibly difficult life we are living.    mavcav

It has been 6 weeks since my Mom has passed and last week I sat down with my kids and watched all of the Long Island Medium shows on my DVR(there had to be 8 of them at least). It brings me such comfort knowing that my Mom is closer than I may think, it reaffirms so much in my heart about her last days/weeks/months of life. It is a great show.
