I been having teeth issues with no infection, loss of vision (80%), and sever headaches. My dentist took 3 xrays to confirm before telling me that I have a mass on my top left 1st moler after the fang tooth. I have no molers. The dentist referred me to oral surgeon or ENT. The oral surgeon referred me to an ENT. The ENT specialist appointment is close to 3 months away. Now worried and don't know what to do.

Where are you located? I definitely wouldn't wait 3 months. You should be your own advocate. They could find you an earlier appointment if they tried. Let us know how you do. The Mayo clinic in Rochester wouldn't make you wait and I think there are other places that you could go. Good luck sue

Thanks for the reply Sue. I live in Pensacola Florida and there is only 2 ENT specialist in the 4 surrounding county and they have a long waiting list. I want a doctor that knows mouth, sinus, nose, cancer and etc. I don't want to be shuffled between several doctors.  I did a lot of calling and tried to find a doctor that meets the qualifications that I can see sooner. I noticed more accurrance of lack of humanity in the medical field.  No matter if I am worried or if I do have cancer, I still can not get help. I don't know what calls or research left to do. I can understand why people get so frustrated and just push aside and not get the medical they need. I am hoping I don't have cancer and worrying was a waist of time. There is no place to get help in finding the right doctor or understanding the illness. I can't find anything about gum mass, pictures, xray, or is there such thing as gum cancer.

My husband is going to the mayo clinic. There is a reason why they are world famous. They never turn anyone away. My husband got really sick in August. He was really tired, had diarrhea. After a month of him not feeling well I made him go to the doctor. On Thursday we saw our primary, we had blood work, ultrasound and ct scan. Friday morning they called us and said he had blockage in his liver. They sent him to a hospital in another city on Monday. By Monday he was severely jaundiced. Monday morning they were going to put a stent in his bile duct. I asked him if he thought it was cancer. The doctor said yes. He had a really rough time during the procedure. They kept him in the hospital that night. My long winded story lol is that Tuesday morning before I left to pick him up at the hospital I called the mayo clinic directly and explained what was going on. She put me on hold for 5 minutes, came back on the line and had a we had a whole series of appointments the next week. It happened just that fast. Within a two week period we went from just being tired to having stage 4 cancer. I went right over their head and I don't apologize for it. The Mayo clinic is amazing. You would have to travel and stay somewhere but it would be worth it for the correct diagnosis. They told us at the mayo that we could get chemotherapy close to home but we chose to have it there. Good luck, keep in touch. Sue
