Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer

Can anyone in here give me more ideas as to the symptoms of stage four ovarian cancer. I've done my research however I want to hear responses from actual patients, not just websites or doctor's who do the same thing we can, "research" to understand what they "think" is going on.

I had a cyst rupture a few years ago, since then, I've hada lung fill with fluid on and off, I've had crazy menstrual changes, weak, dizzy, light headed, crazy changes in bathroom habits, I don't seem to be getting hungry anymore, My lower back and pelvic areas hurt, I have muscular dystrophy, indegestion issues, and I had a case of vertigo which is the biggest thing that caught my attention since my rupture additionally, my memory is worst.T

hese symptoms from what I read or heard on videos seem to be involved with ovarian cancer. I do have a relative that was diagnosed when she was my age, I am jewish, my mother has the same issue however because of her usage of a certain medication I think she was able to keep it from causing her the same issues.

Doctor's keep calling it a UTI and refuse to give me a cancer screening, everytime my ovarian issues have a rise in symptoms I already have my symptoms are dismissed as UTI or I get "its cancerous but its not cancerous right now".

FRUSTRATING.

Can you please describe where in your legs the pain is? In my body my pain feels like its in my thighs or the nerves of my thighs I'm in a wheelchair because I got tired of feeling the sensation of my nerves in pain while walking or even after walking it was miserable trying to lay down after walking all day with the pain in my legs.

I'm trying to get that CA-125 test to confirm its cancer. I know that when I press firmly enough on my tummy I can feel a mass along my left side and it trails down to where the location of my pelvic and leg pain are and I noticed it started spreading to my right side as well.

By the way thank you so much for replying back to me.

Godbless you.

Have you seen a gynecologist?  You need to ask for a transvaginal ultrasound and a CA-125.  A gynecologist should do that. Tell him/her your concerns as ask that ovarian cancer be ruled out.  Are you Ashkenazi Jewish?  If so, you are at higher risk for ovarian cancer.  Also, has anyone in your family had genetic testing?  Your symptoms could be ovarian in nature but they could also be many other things.

My suggestion is to get to a gynecologist and ask for the testing.  Then you can go from there.

Hope this helps,

Sending well wishes,

Robin

two time survivor here with recent (last week) 3rd recurrence.

look for a gynocological oncologist!  demand a ct and if they say it even looks suspicious ask for a pet scan!

do not let any dr. put you on hold.  this cancer does not wait for drs to decide when it will become "cancerous".  my 37 year old sister passed away from this because her dr told her "almost all women have ovarian cysts...don't worry about it".

find a new dr!  let me know how you make out!! you are in my prayers.

Consult another doctor and ask him to write you a certain tests and scans which can help you to detect and diagnose a lump or growth of grown of cancer cells in the affected area (if any). If it would have been UTI then it should not have caused you much trouble with yiur menstrual cycle, but it is a thing troubling you and also the history of ovarian cancer in your family is an alarming thing. Do get your scans and biopsy done as soon as possible.

I wish you good health.
