Do not listen to the prognosis...I was diagnosed in jan 2013, pancan stage 4, masses on most of my organs and I was "given" 3-6 months. Well, here I am, alive and kicking and doing quite well. Explore options, keep your faith and fight!!!!!!

I started off with the five fu for 8 months, which brought my ca19-9 down to 80. After the first four months, my scan came back CLEANNESS. I was taken off chemo for three months, and in nov my #s had risen, so back on the five fu for a total of 17 , into January 2014. I had a reaction to the last round, so I began Gemzar abraxane. That was bringing my #s down slowly! then I developed a bad rash on my leg, so now I am just on Gemzar. My #s are currently 6000, and my scan is clean in all my organs except for a bit in my bones on my left leg. I may get radiation on that. I have not had any weight loss, in fact I have gained some. I just found out today that I have a weak heart, so now I am on meds to lower my bp and heart rate. I am thankful for each and every single day........ Good luck to you, keep me posted!!!!!

Tom has had his first treatment with gemar/abraxane, he was given meds for sickness and a steroid treatment.

I was, and so was he, really pleased to report no sise effects.

Can I ask how far into the treatment did you lose your hair?

If I had PC or any cancer for that matter I would use the Cellect/Budwig Protocol and a raw food diet with alot of juicing. Working up to 6 scoops a day of Cellect, nothing works faster. Cellect by itself stopped my brother's stage IV brain tumor in 2 and a half weeks.
