Doctors say they're on the path to a cure for cancer with revolutionary treatments helping to rid patients of the disease.

Clinical trials at a new centre at an Australian hospital are aiming to replicate one woman's miraculous recovery.

Sixteen years ago, Sue Reynolds’ body was riddled with an aggressive cancer that attacked her brain, bones and sinuses.

Despite surgeries and radiation therapy, the melanoma continued to spread.

But Sue never gave up, and neither did her body.

Her immune system fought back in an extremely rare occurrence doctors call “spontaneous remission”.

Researchers now say they have recreated this with a new treatment called immunotherapy.

Australian clinical trials have had life-saving success, with doctors labelling it a “game-changer”.
