Does anyone here have a rare JAK 2 Mutation?

My Dr called to tell me that I tested posted for the JAK2 mutation.  She said that I did not have the V617F mutation but I have a less common mutation in exon 13.  My Dr said she needed to do more reseach on the mutation and would get back to me.

Does anyone here also have a JAK 2 exon 13 mutation?  I am trying to find out what this means.  Thank you.

Hi,

Are you diagnosed with Essential Thrombocytemia/Thrombocytosis, meaning you have high platelets because if that is the case then only this JAK2 mutation test is done.

yes, my husband was just diagnosed with polycythemia, and he has jak2 exon 13. We're not sure what it means yet, as his symptoms are minimal.
