Is anyone dealing with Carcinoid tumors?  This is a rare cancer and even rarer in men.  My husband was denied VA benefits from it because it's not listed on their list of cancers and other ailments.  Has anyone experience this?  During the time of 1975-1985 water was contaminated with air fuel.

Yes. My father passed away of a carcinoid liver cancer in 1997. He served as a marine and was stationed at camp lejeune in the 1950s (the period of water contamination). I've just learned about this and am trying to learn more. No one could ever figure out why my dad had this. We were told it was rare and slow growing, meaning it had been in his system a long time. He was 65. He was never a drinker (which I associated with liver), but he loved the "most healthy" beverage ... Water and he drink lots of it.

My husband has been battling with issues since 2004 and we just now are told that it could be carcinoid. How were you diagnosed? He was at LeJeune from 1980 to 1982.
