My husband who is 63 was diagnosed with stage 4 non cell adenocarcinoma lung cancer in early Dec.The cancer is in bones, both the lungs and lymph nods.  He has had one chemo treatment { taxol and carboplatin} He had the pleural effusion { that when checked has no malignant cells in fluid} He has a drain tube and we drain at home every other night getting about 300cc.  He is so very short of breath and sleeps alot, light appetite,  From what ive read the shortness of breath and plueural effusion are the end stage of the cancer. He was very sick after first round of chemo, but seems to be doing better but he will have another round of chemo  tommorow. Im just so very worried about him and oncology has not given him a time frame. Does any one have any insite to how long he will be with me..such a scary time for us.
