a whole food, plant based diet worked for me

I have a grade 3 brain cancer. I had surgery after being diagnosed in 08/2008. It kept growing and I had another surgery in 07/2009. Then I did chemo & radiation and then 6 months of chemo. It started growing again a few months later. I had cut out sugar and processed foods, was juicing vegetables but still eating hormone/antibiotic free chicken & beef and eating eggs. After it started growing again, my oncologist said I would need to get on a different chemo when I came back 3 months later in 09/2011. I was scared to do chemo & knew it wouldn't work. I got a lot of signs to start eating a whole food, plant based diet. It's basically raw vegetables & fruit, nuts/seeds, and absolutely no animal products (meat/eggs/dairy). If I eat pasta or bread, it's 100% whole wheat. The MRI in 09/2011 showed no growth and it has been stable since I started this diet. I think the reason why it hasn't disappeared is that I cheat more than I should. I love chocolate and cookie dough. I need to go hard core & drink more juice each day & only eat what I'm supposed to eat. This diet isn't easy, but it is keepng it from growing and nothing else has. Prayers going out to all of you!

Thank you for sharing your awesome testimony Shariv!  My mother was recently diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer - Adenocarcinoma and at the news of it she voluntarily fasted because she had no appetite.  Then she radically changed her diet and quit feeding the cancer with sugar, caffeine and carbs, no processed foods and doing her best to eat an alkaline diet.  Her PET scan following the surgery, a month later, showed no growth in the primary tumor or the sight of met that had fractured her arm.  She had a rod put into her arm and at the time of surgery, they took a biopsy to find out what caused the pathological fracture.  To think no growth had taken place in a month was incrediably good news.   Since then she has added the maple syprup/baking soda mixture, vit B17, Apricot Power AHCC immune booster, Purin Capseluation Nutrient 950 vitamin, 400 billion probiotic and drinks 2 cups of organic decafinated green tea.  No sugar, milk or caffeine.   We're waiting for results from a CT scan a week ago.

She's had pain in her arm, fatigue and loss of appetite. I don't know if this is caused from the detox or if something else is off balance.  Medical care where she lives is really the pits.

I'm so happy for your mom!! I know there are some nasty side effects when you start a detox, but I don't remember what they are. I have heard of people stopping the detox because of it and thinking it was not working. I'm glad you and your mom realize it could be from the detox. Prayers for you both! Keep fighting and take care!

You're very sweet Shariv, I'll be happy for her when she starts feeling better.  I just found out tonight that the CT scan was only of her arm to see why it was hurting.  Sadly, the bone is growing porously around the rod and porous means cancer.  Well, we knew she had that but I pray that God help us reverse this.
