New on this sight..it is hard to find other stage 1a people..(yes, I know I am lucky) My adenocarcinoma was 10mm x 10mm. spiculated, invasive, moderately differentiated (grade 2) acinar predominant (80%) ALK pos (42%)..no lymph node involvement, no viscural/plueral involvement either. so, here is my questions: I am beginning to think at this very early stage histological features are not important, if at all. I think size matters a LOT, and grade of tumor (3 being aggresive) so..wondering also, cannot find on path report size of invasive foci/component. and...surgeon didn,t seem concerned, nor answer on it. Could the invasive foci be the 10mm? I am wondering if I actually should be classified as mia. reason being, I may be worrying and "digging" TOO much on a 1a? Other's thoughts? certain 1a's seem to be 90 plus percent on not coming back, and some stage 1a"s have a much poorer prognosis. Any feedback would be appreciated.
