Hi, I have just started these 28 day injections for Carcinoid Cancer with Syndrome symptoms. I would love to hear from anyone who has had these or similar regular injections and how well they worked or not for you, and what if any side effects it gave you. Thanks, Bill, Westen Australia.

Hi Bill,

I have been getting Lanreotide injections since February 2015; they are designed to shrink the tumors that have metasticized to my liver; the tumors have indeed shrunk (slow but sure) and I have had absolutely no side effects from the monthly shot whatsoever.  I work full time and feel good so far.

Good luck and please keep me informed as to how you are doing.

Pat

I'm a 76 year old white male.  Diagnosed with carcinonid in 2007.  Started with Octiotride 2008.  Switched to Lanreotide in 2014. (self injected 120mg every 28 days) I have muscle and joint pain.  Carcinoid seems to be stable.  No idea if the Lanreotide or age are cause of the pain plus fatigue. At 76.I have beat the system and try not to complain to much.  Symptoms change from day to day.  Try to take it one day at a time. Get a compenent oncoligist and try to enjoy the day.

I'm a 68 year old white female.  Diagnosed with Endocrine carcinoma with carcinoid tumors on my liver in December 2014.  Been taking Lenreotide shots since February 2015, injected every 29 or 20 days.  Tumors have shrunk a little.  Will continue to do shots.  I have a very competent oncologist who says I could get some years out of this.  We'll see....I too have a little fatigue and some aches but work full time and enjoy my life.  Please keep me posted.
