I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I am on the other side after advanced vulvar cancer in 2012.  Stay strong but also give in a bit.  You will not be able to carry on the super women life you currently lead for a while, BUT that is ok!  Cancer can mess with your mind as much as your body.  Talk to people about your fears and hopes.  It may not get the coverage that other cancers do, but we are out there and we are recovered healthy and strong!  You are in the right place for the best support group!!  Best Wishes

im so sorry you have received this diagnosis. Did you have surgery with pathology to determine that it is stage 4? Find out the cell type you have also. I would recommend that you take a trusted family member with you or friend, that way you have two sets of ears and eyes, take notes, be sure you understand everything doctor says and don't be afraid to ask for clarification. It can be a tough road but you can get through it. Don't hesitate to ask for help and please reach out when you need it. I have stage 4 vulvar adenocarcinoma, I won't bore you with details because yours may not be same as mine...but I will answer any question you have. Take it one day, one doctor visit, one test, one procedure at a time. Stay hopeful and grateful, don't go past where you're at...and breathe. My very best to you.

I have just finished a course of radiotherapy and chemo for vulva cancer - I had surgery for VIN3 in 2011 then discovered a lump in my groin 2 years later which after surgery, was found to have metastatic cancer cells consistent with vulvar cancer. I finished a course of radiotherapy and chemo in April. My advise to you is do obey embarrassed or afraid to ask any questions- no matter how stupid you may then they are and also do tube afraid of any further surgery - this area heals remarkably well. Also there is a Facebook page for ladies withVIN,VAIN and vulva cancer which has awhile lot of information. Hang in there and don't hesitate to contact me for anything. Xxx

How awful!  Very sorry to hear this unfortunate news.  I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2011 and will be followed for the rest of my life.  What do you know about vulvar cancer thus far?  If you don't mind me asking, how was the cancer discovered?  I have hard, sensitive white lumps on the labium which I have never mentioned to my OB-GYN nor has he ever said anything about.  They never go away.  No other symptoms, though.  Praying for your recovery.

I've had 2 vulva "squamous cell" cancer within a few months of each other.  The 1st pathology report showed there were cells around the edge of where the doctor and cut away so it had to be done again.  If I were you, I'd ask my gyn to take a specimen to be sure it's not cancerous.  What I saw before calling the Dr. was small white bumps and it was painful to sit.

Good Luck to you, keep me posted.  I really wouldn't wait long to get it done.  Better to be safe than sorry.

I was also diagnosed with vulvar cancer Stage 4. I have been on chemo which has shrunk the tumors somewhat. I am not getting all the info I need from my doctor I don't think. I, also 70 years old. Any help would be appreciated! Txlinda

Those lumps could be cysts.  Have them checked.  I had a lump for many years with no problems then all of a sudden it started to get painful.  Went to Gyno and the cyst was removed.  Much relief.  Good Luck.
