Anyone experience blood clots in lungs? My mom has been short of breathe and tonight experience bad chest pain. She went to the ER , a CT scan was done, and blood clots were found in both her lungs. Is this a treatable condition? I'm scared that this will end up killing my mom... Between her lung mets and the blood clots her breathing has really been compromised and her quality of life is going down hill. She has fought stage 4 pc for 21 months now, I'm terrified this is the beginning of the end.

Blood clots are common with PC.  They will treat here with blood thinners, but it's not a perfect treatment.

My wife Barbara had the clots in one lung and in one leg. They did blood thinners, but she was not doing well at this point. They are often related to end-game PC from what the palliative care nurses told me.
