I feelfor you. I have experience in hospice and palliative care and have brain cancer myself. Your best resource is your hospice nurse, you can often call the service for24 call service. What you describe suggests what we call has the active dying phase and is measured in days. If your loved ones is not able to stand any longer or less conscious or arousable signal a change to the final transition.use the support of medications the hospice nurse will suggest to maximize comfort. Wishes for peace and comfort to you.

I am so very sorry about your poor mom. To answer your question , my father went through some of this and passed within the month. Maybe three weeks.

Again; I am very sorry and I wish her Peace.

Sorry to hear about your brain cancer and wish you the best . My mothers skin is very waxy looking today like people who are already passed and she is choking when she drinks, her legs are very swollen and stomach swollen and hard. I hate not knowing how long is left and I'm due back to work on Monday, my dad died last month and I am all over the place , I know it's very hard to tell but I am scared I will miss it, I had went home to have a shower when my dad died and he died alone snd I don't want this to happen again

Oh bless you.... You really are going through it.... I have no experience but my father is coming into the terminal phase now, so I have nothing to say but I really wish you the best and hopefully you get answers. Stay strong.
