hello wanda!

could you tell me what is the process to enroll in the clinical trial for pembrolizumab? duration? its cost? and other relevant nitty gritty? As in my country, India, Ramucirumab + paclitaxel is the last line of FDA approved treatment. therefore, we need to hope for the best and be ready for the worse.

RSVP

Best wishes

Aditya :)

Hi Aditya There is no cost to us for the clinical trial.. as a matter of fact the drug company gives us a few dollars per visit. It is for two years and then should he need after the trial ends, another year for free. So until trial is over, we won’t know the cost. He hasn’t had any side effects really except a bad bout of diarrhea several months ago. I truly believe everything is working together...pembro, cannabis oil, healthy diet and great attitude. I am on the road right now but will be back home tomorrow so can answer questions more fully... Wanda :)

I'm a Hodgkin survivor from 1982. My brother passed away 3 weeks ago from esopgeal cancer stage 3. He went to md Anderson cancer center in Houston to have the surgery and 4 months later I came back. He did chemo and radiation but he fought for 2 years and lost. I'm very sorry to hear about your husband. My brother never seemed to get his pain under control under the last two days of his life and then he was unconscious for the last day.

I am so sorry to hear of your brother’s passing.... cancer of any type is horrendous but EC seems to be very bad because no matter what stage it is a hard fight. We know of people who were not as advanced as my hubby who passed because it came back after surgery. That is why even if it was an option we are not sure he would have it... it is a tough fight... thank you for sharing your story as painful as it must have been... Wanda

My husbands diagnosis and tumor were similar to yours. He has also been on Cucurmin since the beginning and has completed 9 rounds of 5FU and Oxiplatin. The last Oxiplatin dose was reduced beause of neuropathy. His last two scans were no evidence of disease with nodes clear of disease. He also has changed his diet drastically eating more fruits and veggies. I am so glad to hear you are doing great and in remission. This is wonderful! Did they ever discuss immunotherapy with you? Thanks Stephanie

My father has same sympotons & he is 66 yrs. we came to know about his illness 2 months back. he is HER2 positive. we had taken 6 chemo at the gap of 7 days for initial 3 then 3 chemo at the gap of 15 days. But now his oncologist doesn't responde about his recovery. I would say oncologist is mum now. he recommended us to palliative care which is nothing but a counciling only. Now I'm looking forward to take Ayurveda treatment which i believe is the most appropriate treatment in this illness. Chemo has worsen my father's health with more lymbs on liver.
