Thanks Paula. He will have radiation twice a day, five yas a week for 5 weeks. The radiologist he couldn'e use any lotion except a night since there may not be 4 hurs between session - 8am and 3 pm. I'm hoping he can use it immediately after the mornning session.

What type of radiation is he having? I was told proton radiation is more precise and could help not kill good cells. This may help with the side effects. I had IMRT. I had it once a day for five weeks.

It's all a blur right now. VMAT is what they use. She also talked about IMRT. We aren't at the actual planning stage yet so will be meeting again in a few weeks. Due to the perineural spread

it has to be precise so as not to affect the remaining eye. He's having an MRI with contrasct to design the pinpoint areas next week. Also drives the 2 x's a day at lower dose for treatment. It's going to be a long haul over the summer into the fall. My hope is to be at a new normal by Thanksgiving.
